Google and many other search engines do their jobs very well — indexing information and determining what parts of your website are meat and which are okra. But it simply doesn’t help when there are is more styling code then content and can make some of the less popular indexing services give up trying to sift through your code for real content. Today, with all the web competition out there, it is more important than ever to ensure your provider and designers are stay on top of the latest technologies. And we’re not selfish, we’ll teach your provider how! Just tell them to contact us.

As they said; this technology will bring you search results instantly to your desk top as you type.

This launch was not about putting the hyper-drive on the internet but instead to show the users how to better refine their search queries so they can see every letter grouped with another is another query. Through this, Google aims to influence the way we make our search queries.

As the conspiracy theorists argue this is only another venue where Google is taking over planetary data, Google still has the great defense: it speeds up your life.

Photographer: James Martin

How it Works

When you type in a regular search engine page, all the letters you are typing remains unknown to the search engine’s servers until you click the “Search” button. Google has changed this by giving you letter-by-letter real-time results in a data stream using JQuery and AJax to deliver the results instantly to your screen. As you type “apples”, the A would give you a list of results, pp, would give you apps and application type results until you get down to the l in which you start to see the word you were looking for. This works much like multi-word queries (phrases) and multi-query searches works by delivering the real-time results as you type. Though this does help you better understand the query process; it also has the best benefit of all; its instant.

Well before we get the incoming storm of questions, this new technology in no way interferes with search engine ranking; though it may somewhat effect those with multi word queries though without studies, we’re still uncertain to what impact this will have.

The privacy policy we will be adding will be GNU licensed so it will be a free update for all clients across the network. However if a client should choose for us to create a custom policy for the needs of their website, we will be charging a standard “up-to-compliance” fee of $150.00 per site. This fee is discounted to those that have the support plan and should want the policy customized to $50.00 per site (this is to cover our costs in getting our attorney to check and verify the legality of the document). For most clients, the standard free update will be fine if you already have been operating your site without a privacy policy.

We recently took on a client that was in desperate need of search engine ranking help. As of now I will not mention their name due to privacy concerns but I want to share their situation, the mistake they made, how they could have avoided it, and the drastic measures we had to take in order to correct it.

Two years ago, our client hired a SEO and internet marketing team from Seattle, Washington. This firm guaranteed traffic to our client’s website and also stated that their website would eventually show as a top ranking website on the search engines. Right off, our client stated that within a few weeks they got the traffic promised, but nearly as soon as their paid the invoice the traffic “shut off”.

This SEO and internet marketing company did not use optimized HTML and key-word placement, instead they used what we refer to as web-spam in order to place as many links to their website as possible. How a company accomplishes this feat is nothing short of immoral and unethical. These types of companies task “bots” to run rampart on the web with harvested websites of blogs, forums, and other “data posting” websites for public use and spams these sites repeatably until the site gives up deleting their spam or until the site disappears from the net entirely. You can see these types of spammers as an example on our community blogging website at www.vraul.com. Webmasters spend hundreds of dollars per week just keeping this spam out of their websites. But some argue, “whats so bad about website spam?”.

Website spam leads to flooding of a website. Once one bot hits the site, other bots, when crawling that website can also detect if other bots were successful at signing up and posting their filth. Eventually the site is overrun by spam, the databases quickly filling up and the bandwidth of the server over-loaded. In short, spam causes webmasters of great sites to give up, close their site, and causes undue work and strain on internet servers.

But we can’t get ahead of our selves here. Not only is this type of “link inflation” immoral and unethical, search engines aren’t stupid and when they catch on; your site gets banned permanently from those search engines. See this article (A webmaster complaining that his site was banned).

Don’t be fooled — SEO has never or will it ever involve “links” to your website! Any company that tells you that they will get you “link-backs” are going to get your site banned, though temporarily increasing your traffic, you will NEVER AGAIN be able to get this traffic back.

After analyzing what this company had done with our client’s website and after talking to a few liaisons for Google, Inc, we came to the conclusion that the only way to restore our client’s website’s traffic was to completely purchase a new domain with very different content and design.

In short, our client’s choice in this company uncured more than $8,000 to completely reinstate their online identity because of one company’s “short-cuts”. Always ensure that you investigate the company you’re looking for in SEO because its not just WEB SPAM they may involve you in, it may be regular spam as well and many organizations like WOT will near-instantly block your website from many browsers that use their security plugins.

Our methodology for SEO is simple. Built a great website, ensuring that the code is compliant from the ground up, place the content in one-click’s reach, and inform the search engines the site is there; through this tried and true method, sites nearly always make top search engine rankings, permanently!

What Google had done was about criminally equivalent as a “Peeping Tom”. Google uses their mobile street-cars to snap pictures around your area so you can use their “street view” on Google Maps. However what Google didn’t tell you is that they were taking a little bit longer if you had an unsecured wireless network because they hooked up to your network and started recording everything you did on it from your personal websites, bank sites, etc. There is no limit to what information Google potentially has on any individual at any point in time now.

So now there are many people whom have never consented to Google’s privacy policy that Google has exploited without their knowledge, and the pile of lawsuits, as Christopher reports, is getting thicker! No matter what is going on, one thing is for sure, Google has done some peeping into unsuspecting house-holds, the question is, what happens now?

View Portfolio Entry

Michael, I would like to thank you for all the time, support and much needed information you gave me during the course of my site development. Given this was my first website, I am delighted I put my business your way as I don’t believe I would’ve met anyone else that showed such patience towards me, given my limited knowledge in IT and websites.

Initially I was apprehensive about placing my business with an American Company given the time difference, but I can honestly say Michael works 24/7 and is always on hand, even though I’m based in Ireland. His quick responses to my never ending queries puts my mind totally at ease. He guided me through every step of the site development with ease and professionalism, with the end product totally to my satisfaction.

When I thought the site was completed, I was amazed and still am at how Michael remains in contact with updates on my site, in relation to upgrading, search engine results (he got me to No1 on Yahoo within a fortnight!) and his continuous work to keep my site at the top of the search engines.

I would have no hesitation recommending Michael and his company to anyone that may be wishing to develop a new website or upgrade/change an existing one. He really is one in a million..

Thanks again Michael..

The rave is in and not only have two cities in North Carolina been selected as candidates for Google’s new fiber optic network, but these two cities are in the top 100, making North Carolina the only state that has two cities in the list. Coming in at number 7 on Google’s new “naughty and nice” list is Asheville, North Carolina. However soaring through the ranks from the original number 28, Greensboro takes the number 9 slot making them a very likely candidate for the new Google Fiber Network.

Greensboro’s success in achieving the top 10 has been largely in part to the citizen’s enthusiasm and knowledge of Web 2.0. With ecstatic citizens, fan-sites, and other websites trying to spread the hype about Greensboro and gain support like GreensboroIsTalking (They are also using our Super CATPCHA software, so they’re good in our book!), they are sure to climb once again in the near future.

Google’s new fiber network, no matter where it is installed, will have nothing but positive effects on the community, from higher population (from Internet junkies moving to the Fibered community), to better commerce from online sales and service.

Many people have posed the question over the past few months, “So whats the catch?”. This is the magic question. It is Google’s practice to offer free services in order to target ads to the end users by means of complex data mining and indexing from even your most personal sources (such as your email[Gmail], purchase histories[Google Checkout], Call Histories[Google 411], and even your voice-mails[Google Voice]) ensuring that they are in-touch with every part of your lifestyle with the exception of maybe your, nope they have that covered too.
